WHAT DOES OUR LOGISTICS ACTUALLY DO?
Logistics ensures that ROY ROBSON menswear arrives safely – in both senses of the word. Quality control, shipping, returns – all this happens at the logistics center in Lüneburg. The final steps before the menswear goes on its journey. That is why great importance is attached to ensuring that the goods are always packaged in such a way that they are a pleasure to unpack.

THE CONVEYOR TECHNOLOGY IN THE LOGISTICS CENTER is a
complex network,
on whose tracks the
PARTS glide through the space.
“There is a lot of technology here that interlocks like cogwheels. Each chain in the system brings the goods a little closer to where they need to be. Overall, it’s a well-coordinated mix of experienced people and complex IT processes.”
Johannes, Logistics
Interview with
Susanne and Johannes
ABOUT THE SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF LOGISTICS
Susanne has been with ROY ROBSON for 35 years and has seen a lot. She started out in the ironing department and then ended up in quality control in the dispatch department. Her mother already worked here, so ROY ROBSON is in her blood.
Johannes trained as an industrial clerk at ROY ROBSON and worked at the headquarters for several years. Since the construction of the new logistics center in Lüneburg, he has now found his professional home there.
What is your overarching task?
Johannes: Ultimately, we are responsible for ensuring that our customers receive the goods they have ordered. And in the usual ROY ROBSON quality and packaged in such a way that they are happy to receive and unpack them.
How can you tell that you’ve done a good job?
Susanne: Of course the customer has to be satisfied. Packing the goods, for example, is an elementary component. If the goods are poorly packaged, they arrive wrinkled at the customer’s door. That’s why we pack with the right materials such as tissue paper – and above all with a dose of fun. It should arrive like a gift.
Johannes: All parts are the lifeblood of all our departments, from product management to production. That’s exactly what we want our customers to feel when the goods arrive.
What makes you a team in logistics?
Johannes: We have many employees who have been with us for a very long time. They are very loyal because they get the same in return. It’s all about cohesion.
Susanne: That’s why we are always in demand when new people become part of our team. We want to make them feel welcome and that we can always talk openly and honestly about everything. You have to feel comfortable. And I’m the best example of that because I’ve been with the company for so long and I still enjoy my job.

ROY ROBSON TOP PICKS
Logistics always has the best overview of what ROY ROBSON is currently launching on the market. What particularly catches Susanne and Johannes’ eye: the seasonal collections, new colors, eye-catching patterns. They provide variety and stand out. But timeless classics are also a must, such as the long-lasting T-shirts and jackets that can be perfectly combined.
